Discover the Story Behind...
TRIS POWER
Tris Power is the pen name of a university professor, widely published nonfiction author, and popular public speaker.
When Tris was a kid growing up in Brooklyn, he experienced the punishing blows of schoolyard bullies, the hair-trigger violence of playground drug dealers, and the numbing thuggery of muggers, assault artists, pier-six brawlers, and other sundry gorillas.
He saw his best friend get his skull blown off as a bystander to a drug deal gone awry…and the killers never punished. He hated the searing injustice and yearned for a hero to arise and kick their Neanderthal asses all the way from Bay Ridge to Canarsie.
Natural, then, that Tris worshiped tough-guy heroes, whether Western gunfighters like Shane and John Wayne characters, hard-boiled detectives like Philip Marlowe and Mike Hammer, or secret agents like James Bond. He fantasized about bringing frontier justice to the darkest streets of Brooklyn’s meanest neighborhoods.
And so, decades later, Tony Just and his band of tough-talking, hard-punching, straight-shooting bad-asses were born….
Red Meat Village is the first in the series of Tony Just crime thrillers.
